The AWAKEN Model

The AWAKEN model is an evolutionary approach to simultaneous human and systems adaptation which we follow to help companies adapt not only to survive but to become smarter, faster and more agile than their competitors. First conceived and developed by PCRL Founder Tony Rhoades in 2003, the AWAKEN model has been deployed successfully in over 750 individual SMEs and Blue Chips. The AWAKEN model has also been the central transformation strategy in award winning regional-regeneration programmes, as well as being published in text books and international journals as part of a change toolkit for enhancing change in Engineering Education, and Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

COMET (COMmercializing Emergent Technologies)

The COMET Model

PCRL’s COMET Model highlights the extent to which different entrepreneur’s are sensitive to the challenges of COMmercializing Emergent Technology (ET), illustrating that some biographical and other traits influence Kirznerian and Knightarian theories of alertness (Kirzner, 1979), sense-making and judgement (Knight, 1921), having a range of different effects on their individual likelihood of success in the commercialization process.
